Naomi James Bentley
Naomi James Bentley is a former professional dancer now dedicated to instruction and choreography, with over 15 years of experience in the professional dance industry. A graduate of Bodywork Company Dance Studios in Cambridge, UK (now Bodywork International), Naomi began teaching commercial jazz and hip hop during her studies and quickly developed a passion for sharing the art of dance through education and creative direction.
Her performance career spans television, film, live stage, and music videos. Naomi has appeared in major productions such as Pitch Perfect 2, Get On Up, Nashville, and Disney’s Let It Shine. She has performed at a variety of live events, including a halftime show at Georgetown University, the ATLA Showcase, Morehouse and CAU Homecoming, and on tour with recording artist B.o.B. She was also featured as a dancer in music videos for Janelle Monáe Electric Lady and Sir Rosevelt Sunday Finest.
After a successful career as a performer, Naomi returned to teaching in 2018, bringing her signature energy, joy, and passion for dance into every studio she’s worked with. Her classes combine fun and expressive movement with a strong foundation in discipline, technique, and work ethic. She has taught at several respected studios throughout GA, bringing her high energy teaching style and love for dance to many students. Known for her expressive movement style and her ability to connect with students, Naomi creates a supportive and dynamic learning environment that inspires creativity, confidence, and growth. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of dancers and bringing performance-driven training to the classroom.
Now based in Charlotte, NC, Naomi is actively expanding her teaching work and continues to share her vibrant love of dance.
