Lisa Lewis

Lisa Lewis was born and raised in Long Island, New York before making her move to the Carolinas. Lisa thrives in the many roles that she plays, but her most cherished is that of a wife and mother of 2 incredible young men. She began her higher education at Coastal Carolina University and then attended University of North Carolina – Charlotte, where she graduated with her degree in Business Management. 

After working in the corporate world for some time, Lisa was called to pursue her gift and passion for educating our youth.  For 15 years she was a treasured Teacher Assistant at Winding Springs Elementary.  Her inspiring attitude and work ethic contributed to her being the winner of “Teacher Assistant of the Year” for the North Learning Community for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. During her time with CMS, Lisa was a coach for cheerleading, basketball, and mathematics for the Right Moves for Youth program, where she pushed all her teams to achieve greatness. While at WSE, Lisa Lewis and Megan Zugelder May became a dynamic duo as they created a high-quality and highly regarded competitive dance team, as well as dance organization and outreach program, Inspire Dance Company. They proudly led their competitive dance teams to win numerous regional, national, and world titles. 

In 2018, God guided Lisa into a new adventure at a wonderful K-12 charter school.  She continuously made a positive and powerful impact on the school community with her positions as Student Success Coach, Character Education Leader, and All-Star Lead and Teacher Assistant.  Her example and focus on character education, leadership, and community carry with her in every endeavor she pursues.  Lisa is a beautiful presence in her church community and acts as a Sunday School Teacher, choir member, board member for Christian Education, and an assistant for the Boy Scout Troop #62 ~ one of the oldest African – American scout troops in Charlotte, NC. Lisa walks by faith and is a beacon of light where she inspires others with her optimism, kindness, and wisdom.
